Farewell lunch held for Mayor Rob Rappold

BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) – A going away luncheon was held on Friday, June 28th for Mayor Rob Rappold.

This was held to celebrate his retirement and actions as the Mayor of Beckley. The lunch was hosted at the Black Knight Country Club.

Melissa White, Daughter of Mayor Rappold, said her father deserves to be celebrated.

“He’s just such a hard worker. He really didn’t want to retire. He’s done so many great things for the City of Beckley. It’s just an honor to be here with my mom, my brother, my husband, my son…we have other family members here,” said White to 59News.

White said she and her family are very proud.

She said she is excited to see more great things happen in Beckley under new leadership.
