BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A dispute between two men, one of which called the other’s wife a “stupid b*tch”, resulted in a stabbing.

On May 22, 2024, around 10:37 PM, Raleigh County EOC dispatched Beckley Police Department Officers to the Smart Hotel at 1909 Harper Road in Beckley, Raleigh County, West Virginia, for a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, officers found the victim, Harold Brown, with a stab wound to his midsection. A knife with a wet blade was found in the parking lot.

Witnesses identified the suspect as Edward “Herbie” Miller. Security footage obtained by officers showed Brown and Miller heading towards a staircase on the hotel’s second floor. Miller, holding a knife, was approached by Brown with a beverage bottle. Miller turned around as Brown threw the bottle, went back up the stairs, and stabbed Brown. Miller then held onto Brown briefly before they separated and went in different directions.

Brown explained at Raleigh General Hospital on May 23, 2024, that the incident began with an argument between Miller and Brown’s wife, Sabrina. Brown intervened after Miller insulted Sabrina, leading to a dispute.

Brown confirmed that Miller, also known as Herbie Miller, was the one who stabbed him and identified him in a photo. Edward “Herbie” Miller faces a charge of malicious wounding stemming from the crime incident.
