Back to School Summer Fest

BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) – One local church plans to host something special for kids heading back to school. United Apostolic Faith Church is hosting Back to School Summer Fest.

Those who attend can enjoy games, music, vendors, food, and giveaways. American Pro Wrestling will be putting on a show as well.

Pastor Timothy Scholfield and Board Member Shirmira Harbin said this event is a safe space for all kids.

“It is possible for a church, a community, or a faith-based organization to make a positive impact into children’s lives. It makes the community better,” said Scholfield.

“We just want the public to come out, enjoy the festivities that will be taking place, and just come out and fellowship with us,” said Harbin to 59News.

The event is on Saturday, August 3, 2024. It starts at 11 a.m. and lasts until 2 p.m.
