Woman arrested after being nude in front of Beckley convenience store

BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A woman was arrested after she walked up to the front doors of Go-Mart and removed her clothing, standing completely nude.

On July 28, 2024, Beckley Police responded to a report of indecent exposure at the GoMart located at 2905 Robert C Byrd Drive in Beckley. Upon arrival, Police observed a black female who was completely nude from the waist down. Her sweatpants and panties were lying on the ground by the front door. Police identified the defendant as Tara Harbin.

Police ordered Harbin to put her pants back on, which she did. It was clear she was under the influence of fentanyl or heroin, as she had a piece of burnt aluminum foil in a cigarette pack. Police then placed Harbin under arrest for indecent exposure and public intoxication.

Witnesses stated that Harbin had walked up to the front doors of the GoMart and began undressing despite their attempts to make her stop. Police transported Harbin to the Beckley Police Department but could not process her there. Harbin was then taken directly to Southern Regional Jail without incident.

This all occurred within the city limits of Beckley, Raleigh County , West Virginia.
