Rotary Club of Beckley donates $4,000 to local food pantries

BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) — Members of the Rotary Club of Beckley provided $4,000 in donations to non-profit organizations, club officers announced on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.

Jonathan Grose, president of Beckley Rotary Club, said the donations honor a former Rotarian, David Langford.

“Dave Langford was a former Rotarian, and he was in the community and just loved giving back,” said Grose. “So, ten years ago, the Beckley Rotary Club established a fund in his honor that gives out to local food pantries and local kitchens.”

Helping Hands, Food for Body and Soul and the Salvation Army are among the charities which received donations, Grose said.
