Reno Firefighters Respond to Water Leak
Reno firefighters responded to a water leak. The leak was on the fourth floor of a retirement home. Firefighters say they stayed on scene to help mitigate the problem and make sure power was turned off. They also say several residents were displaced.
Man Arrested For Firing Shots Into the Air
On Sunday around 9:43 a.m. Sparks Police officers responded to 1400 12th Street for reports of multiple gunshots heard. When officers found and approached the home they believed the shots were coming from, a man answered the door holding a handgun. He then quickly shut the door and went back inside the home.

Search underway for person reportedly missing at Topaz Lake
MINDEN, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — A search is underway after a person was reported missing at Topaz Lake on Sunday afternoon. Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and other surrounding agencies responded to the lake south of Carson City at about 3:30 p.m. on July 21 on the report of a person who'd gone missing.

A throng of 850, the largest crowd ever in attendance, enjoyed a beef barbecue dinner prepared by a committee of 13 people. The pool was purchased by Kirby Quinn from the Frank Mattel estate and given to the residents of the mountain community by Quinn.
Lincoln Police Seek Owner of Friendly Tortoise Found Roaming in Placer County
In an unusual case of lost and found, the Lincoln Police Department in Placer County is reaching out to the community in hopes of returning a lost tortoise to its owner. The department reported on their Facebook page, a large, amiable tortoise found wandering at around 9:45 p.m. Details are scarce on how the tortoise came to be roaming without its owner, but the police are actively seeking information.
