Police: Va. man beat passenger
A Ruther Glen, Va., man, is facing felony charges after allegedly driving drunk and stopping to beat up his backseat passenger. Michael Eugene Novitski, Jr., 27, was lodged in the Bedford County Correctional Facility on two counts of third-degree felony driving under the influence, as well as summary offenses of harassment, littering, careless driving, driving drunk with a suspended license, and driving with an open container.
Hyndman man facing charges for alleged probation violations
A Hyndman man is facing 11 felony charges after his probation officer alerted state police that he was allegedly in possession of multiple firearms and controlled substances. James I. Kamauf, 46, was arraigned Monday by Magisterial District Judge Tonya M. Osman on 11 felony counts of possession of a firearm prohibited and one misdemeanor count of manufacturing a controlled substance.
