Roles are reversed on the Laramie High School tennis teams, as they start the 2024 high school season with a pair of home matches on Monday. Last year, the boys had an experienced roster, and the girls had to replace several players in their line-up. Rock Springs URA ‘Clean Team’ off to a sparking start
The Downtown Rock Springs “Clean Team” is off to a successful start! After the first month of operation, the Rock Springs Main Street/Urban Renewal Agency (URA) is reporting that Ellie Manning, the one-woman Clean Team (pictured above), has achieved the following milestones: Collected 255 pounds of trash, assisted 26 visitors with hospitality and information, and made 17 business contacts helping to strengthen ties between local businesses and the URA. Manning did all this while walking an impressive 29.75 miles.

Man on probation arrested for drug trafficking after trying to skateboard away from officers
IDAHO FALLS — A 41-year-old man on probation was arrested Sunday after officers caught him allegedly trying to sell drugs. Justin Roy Richards is charged with felony trafficking methamphetamine or amphetamine, felony fentanyl trafficking, felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor use or possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor resisting or obstructing officers.

Wyoming Angler Sets New State Record For Tiger Trout
A soft-spoken 13-year-old Kemmerer boy set the new tiger trout state record in late July when he landed a 12.77 pound fish from Viva Naughton Reservoir. The Wyoming Game and Fish wrote that Jaxon Krall shattered the previous record of 11.93 pounds, which was also caught at Viva Naughton by Owen Schaad of Cheyenne in 2023.
