West Orange High alum and former baseball player Sam Brodersen was selected in the 15th round of the 2024 MLB Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals. A right-handed pitcher, Brodersen started his college career at Wingate University — throwing the final out for the Bulldogs’ Division II National Championship as a true freshman in 2021.
