WRECC celebrates members with annual meeting
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Held each year in July, WRECC’s annual meeting is an opportunity for the company to celebrate its members. Leading up to the meeting, all WRECC offices held drive-thru registrations for the meeting from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. With each registration, members were given a bucket containing gifts from the co-op.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - A few spotty showers are possible into the evening hours, otherwise just mostly cloudy and muggy. Lows on the late night will come down into the lower 70s. Rain chances are fairly limited for Friday and Saturday. Any showers would be very isolated and mainly confined to later in the day.

Power outage impacts 800 customers in Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A power outage impacted 800 households Thursday in Bowling Green. The outage affected East Main Avenue to East Second Avenue and U.S. 31-W Bypass, according to Bowling Green Municipal Utilities. BGMU says a line was down on the Bypass. It has since been repaired.
Lexington rejects bid to subdivide large farm on Tates Creek Road. ‘We can do better’
A Fayette County planning body has rejected a request to subdivide a 144-acre farm near the Jessamine County border into 13 smaller lots. The Urban County Planning Commission voted unanimously Thursday to turn down a zone change for the property at 8200 Tates Creek Road from an agricultural zone to an agricultural buffer zone.
A Nostalgic Louisville Restaurant Will Close After One Final Weekend
Nostalgic Restaurant & Cocktail House announced on Instagram that they'll be closing their doors for good after this weekend. Serving up modern spins on childhood classics, Nostalgic opened its doors to Bardstown Road in February 2023. Their last day in business will be Sunday, July 28. Naive, their sister restaurant in Butchertown doesn't have any plans to close. The announcement read: "To our Nostalgic family and all of the loyal customers that we’ve served over the past year and half- It is with a heavy heart that we’re announcing our last day of business on Sunday, July 28th.
Louisville police fatally shoot man with knife in SW Louisville after tasers were ineffective
LOUSIVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was shot and killed by Louisville Metro Police officers Thursday night in southwest Louisville. According to LMPD Interim Chief Paul Humphrey, a trouble call came in about 9:30 p.m. Thursday to the 6600 block of Eagle Wood Drive, which is off Dixie Highway and Moorman Road, not far from the Gene Snyder Freeway.

Kit salon opens in Fort Thomas with commitment to community
Kit salon in Fort Thomas is named after Molly Hardin’s great grandmother, and her old styling tools are proudly displayed on the wall inside the shop. Hardin said owning a salon was a dream come true—though a dream she didn’t really know she had as a full-time interior designer and part-time hairstylist. Hardin is a Fort Thomas native who worked at the building’s former tenant, Salon on Highland. She has been licensed for 15 years, but this new venture is her first time owning a salon.
