Russellville man arrested on drug charges from Todd, Hopkins counties
A Russellville man was taken into custody by the Todd County Sheriff’s Thursday following an investigation by the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force. According to a news release, Deputy Derek Baumann with the sheriff’s office and detectives with the Task Force located 40-year-old Thomas Morgan of Russellville at a residence off of Gibson Hightower Road in Todd County, who was wanted in multiple counties, including Todd and Hopkins.
Buyer Beware: 3 card skimmers found in Elizabethtown. Devices now being placed in retail stores, restaurants, ATMs
Credit/debit card skimmers are being found by law enforcement in Kentucky and eastern Indiana, and three of the devices were recently discovered in Elizabethtown. “We’ve had at least 3 cases in the last few months of skimmers set up in local retail establishments at self check-out and even staffed check-out counters,” the Elizabethtown Police Department said.

With progress comes convenience but also nefariousness. It seems every form of new technology developed to make our lives easier can also be manipulated to make our lives, in some cases, a nightmare. And because of identity theft, even more new technology must be created--and rather quickly, too--to counteract the behavior of bad actors.

Warren’s Even-Par Round Leads Owensboro to Trigg Invitational Title
Nolan Warren’s round of even par led Owensboro to the team title at Thursday’s Trigg County Invitational played at Lake Barkley’s Boots Randolph Golf Course. Warren edged Marshall County’s Ryan Stokes by one shot to claim the individual title, helping the Red Devils to a team score of 295. They finished four shots ahead of McCracken County and Marshall County.
