Two large white balloons spotted over Green Country

TULSA, Okla. — Two large white balloons were spotted flying at a very high upper altitude over northeast Oklahoma.

According to the FlightRadar24 app, the two balloons HBAL641 and HBAL643 were seen by FOX23 viewers Friday evening.

HBAL641 was between Beggs and Slick and HBAL 643 mainly stayed over Oolagah Lake.

These are not the controversial Chinese spy balloons that Americans saw last year that crossed the entire United States before being shot down by the military.

The balloons over Green Country belong to U.S. company Aerostar.

Aerostar describes itself as an aerospace company that is "a world leader in the design, manufacture, integration, and operation of stratospheric balloon platforms and airships for near space applications. Filling the capability gap between aircraft and satellites, our stratospheric balloon platforms and airships offer critical advantages to a wide range of missions."

The company has been hired for tasks by NASA, the U.S. Air Force, and Google.
