These awards are meant to spotlight the work, drive and resilience of local business owners, leaders and employees that have made their organizations successful through collaboration, innovation, technology, and great customer service. Workforce NOW Presents Students with Scholarships at Quarterly Member Meeting
The Chamber’s Workforce NOW Committees and Board of Directors were pleased to present three (3) deserving students with scholarships on July 24th, 2024 at the quarterly member meeting. The Fredericksburg Regional Chamber in partnership with Go Virginia, Fredericksburg, Stafford, Caroline, Spotsylvania, and King George Public Schools, Germanna Community College and University of Mary Washington host an annual Intern Expo, each year in February. A scholarship application opportunity was offered to any student who attended the Intern Expo. The applicant pool was strong, and 3 students have been selected as our 2024 Workforce NOW Scholarship Recipients. Interested in donating to the 2025 scholarship fund, contact [email protected]

Organizations have from now until August 12 to apply for grant funding to clean up local waterways. WASHINGTON, D.C., USA — It appears sports gambling in Washington, DC may be expanding faster than first expected. On Thursday, DC’s Office of Lottery and Gaming (OLG) told WUSA9 it has received not one, but two Class C license applications since DC Council relaxed restrictions on which companies can offer sports betting in the District.
