Jeffrey Speller Foundation to host inaugural golf tournament

BELCHERTOWN, Mass. (WWLP) – Exactly one month from Wednesday, Ciara Speller is personally inviting any and all local golfers to come out swinging and tee off for a cause.

On August 17th, the Jeffrey Speller Foundation ‘4 Change’ will be hosting its inaugural charitable golf tournament at Cold Spring Country Club in Belchertown.

The foundation was created by Speller and her mother in honor of her dad Jeff Speller, an avid golfer who passed away in October. He was a firm believer that through the game, an individual could gain discipline, self-confidence, and resilience, which are key values for success.

Speller was especially enthusiastic about building up the next generation by empowering them through these values, and why our foundation’s mission is to provide support and resources for underserved young people to participate in golf programs.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit local youth golfers, and a donation will also be made to Cholangiocarcinoma research. Registration and sponsorship information can be found here , and we hope to see you there!
