She stood there with her straight, blond hair parted down the middle and showed how it's done. For starters, she said to put one <a href="https://bellatory.com/news/claw-clip-short-hair" rel="nofollow"> clip </a> in the center of your head instead of on either side of your middle part. "You're going to grab equal parts of my hair on either side of your <a href="https://bellatory.com/news/widow-peak-shave" rel="nofollow"> middle part </a> , then go in and spray with some sort of <a href="https://bellatory.com/news/messy-style-pin-straight-hair" rel="nofollow"> texture spray </a> ," Kelly said. "I found that texture spray actually works better than any hair spray does." <nbtemplate data-id="AdPlaceholder" data-content="JTdCJTdE"></nbtemplate> Next, she said to clip your hair as close to the route as you can. She followed this technique on both sides of the front of her head, and ended up with seven clips in her hair. "I also found it helps if you're holding the hair upright when you're putting the clip in," Kelly said. She said that doing it that way gives your hair more lift. After this, she said to take a <a href="https://bellatory.com/news/blow-dryer-trend" rel="nofollow"> blow dryer </a> and to hit your hair with a little bit of heat. Kelly said that you have to let the clips sit, and she did so for 20 minutes. To remove the clips, she started from the bottom, and said that those were the ones that were harder to get a lift in her hair. Once she took them out, she fluffed her hair and you could see that the clips worked to give her hair some height and <a href="https://bellatory.com/news/90-super-model-curls" rel="nofollow"> volume </a> . "Look at this lift," Kelly said. "Obviously, I wouldn't wear my hair like that, but they definitely give you volume.
