Tee Off for the Library golf tournament winners announced
The annual ”Tee Off for the Library” golf tournament took place at the Willow Wood Golf Course on June 30, with all proceeds going to help support programming at the Summers County Public Library. Members of the first-place team, Greg Vandell, Keith Hughes, David Mann and Justin Keaton received their prize of $400 from Library Director Kris Kellan. Altogether, 44 heroic folks played golf in the sweltering heat to help raise $4,420 to pay for things like books for the book discussion groups, art and craft supplies for children’s programs, expenses involved in hosting the Water Festival art show and Book Festival and much more. Special thanks are due to all the businesses and individuals who gave money and door prizes to help sponsor this event. Without your help so much that goes on in our Library would not be possible.
