Fatal Bicycle Crash at 16th Street North and 5th Avenue in St. Petersburg
Shortly after 7 a.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024, a red Dodge Journey struck a bicyclist at 16th Street North and 5th Avenue. The bicyclist later died at a local hospital. According to the preliminary investigation, the Dodge was traveling eastbound on 5th Avenue North with a green light and attempted to turn south onto 16th Street North.
