CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Some changes have been made to the original Centre Crest Building renovation plan, but delays are not expected.

In February, WTAJ reported that the Centre Crest Human Services received a construction contract that allowed for renovations. The plan was to renovate the space into offices for the county human service agencies, the county election department and a new Bellefonte Senior Center.

That is all still happening, however, on Tuesday, Administrator John Franek Jr. said some changes are coming in the kitchen area. The total cost of its renovation is over $900,000.

Additionally, Franek said there will also be adding a gym space, running new supply lines and an area for cleaning purposes.

These additional renovations will not delay the building’s opening date of July 2025, according to Franek.
