Centre County non-profit giving away free clothes to kids

BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WTAJ) – Regardless of where you live, FaithCentre in Bellefonte is giving away free clothes for kids going back to school from July 29 to August 3.

Each kid gets three outfits and a new pair of shoes. All you have to do is show up with your family – no income or location requirements.

“We’re trying to just take a little bit of the financial burden off of parents,” Nicole Summers, executive director of FaithCentre, said.

Summers said that FaithCentre is able to make this annual event happen each year through generous donations and spending thousands to make sure the kids get new shoes. If the kid cannot find a pair that fits, Summers said they will order a pair that does.

“I think for families with multiple children, this is really a blessing,” Summers said.

The store is open most days from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., except for Thursday when it’s open from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
