Concrete patching work on part of I-75 in Oakland County begins, prompting 10-day closure
(CBS DETROIT) - Michigan Department of Transportation crews will begin a concrete patching project on a portion of I-75 in Oakland County this week, officials said. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's office announced that this project, along with three others, will begin this week as she continues to "fix the damn roads" throughout the state. The other projects include resurfacing on I-196 in Allegan County and pavement sealing on M-553 in Marquette County. These projects are expected to support 243 jobs. Allen Park takes first steps toward $8.5 million fire station renovations
The Allen Park City Council will soon be considering an $8.5 million project to renovate the fire station and implement a new millage. The city’s current fire station opened in 1969. City Administrator Mark Kibby said there are structural issues, foundation issues, plumbing and electrical issues and a complete lack of technology in the station. Most of all, though, he said there is currently not a locker room facility for the city’s female firefighter.
New Hydrants will Help the Dexter Area Fire Department
Dexter Township will be making some improvements at Fire Station 2 that are expected to help firefighters and in turn the community. At its July 16 meeting, the Dexter Township Board authorized a payment of up to $125,000 to the Dexter Area Fire Department (DAFD) to support a well and hydrant at Fire Station 2, two dry hydrants and project management costs.

The band of course would not stop thanking their fans for being the reason they are able to tour and be a band for the last 10 years! They also of coursed talked about the famous cover of Blank Space that went viral and how thankful that their fans who found them because of that cover are still here to this day and supporting them since then! I also loved seeing Lizzy Hale of Halestorm coming out and performing their new song, “Can You See Me In The Dark” live! It was absolutely incredible and honestly sounded just like the recording that I listen to from Spotify! I Prevail of course made jokes about liking different hockey teams and other various sports but at the end of the day, they wouldn’t be here without all the fans!
