Fight results in three people getting shot in St. Clair County, police say

A fight between several individuals led to three people getting shot Sunday, police say.

Cahokia Heights police say they have no suspects or a motive for the shooting at this time.

Cahokia Heights Detective DeMarius Thomas said police were called at 4:30 p.m. in reference to a fight at the Private Mathison Manor Apartments in the 5900 block of Mitchell.

“Three people — two males and a female — were shot. They were taken to area hospitals,” he said.

No other information, including the identities of the victims or their conditions, was available.

Thomas said Cahokia Heights police are currently investigating and looking for the person or persons responsible.
