Hamilton County secures $100 million funds
COLUMBUS –State Rep. Cecil Thomas (D-Cincinnati) announced the June 26 passage of House Bill (HB) 2, the state’s biennial state capital budget, in both the Ohio House of Representatives and Senate. The record-setting $6.2 billion investment makes appropriations for state-owned infrastructure, colleges, universities and school districts as well as other community projects.

Ault Park’s Fourth of July fireworks show returns for 58th year
CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Months after the City of Cincinnati said it was canceling its annual fireworks at Ault Park, the Fourth of July celebration went on as scheduled. The city said it was canceling the fireworks in March. A community fundraising effort, including a major donation from Cincinnati Bengals coach Zac Taylor, saved the event. The effort was appreciated by residents who attended the fireworks on Thursday.
