    Bellingham Gets Back in the Win Column

    FRIDAY HARBOR – The Bayhawks played their first game outside of Whatcom County, and picked up their second victory as they defeated Friday Harbor 22-9 on Friday night. The Wolverines began the game with a strong 16-play 71-yard drive, but a strong Bellingham goal line stand ended Friday Harbor’s scoring chances at the 2-yard line. The Wolverines would get on the scoreboard first, however, when the Bayhawks lined up for a punt four plays later, and the center snap went over the punter’s head, and through the end zone for a Friday Harbor safety.
