Bellingham’s long-awaited Texas Roadhouse restaurant now has an opening month and announced it is hiring for more than 200 job positions.

The chain steakhouse restaurant is planned to open in “early October,” according to a news release from the restaurant. The new restaurant will be at 4331 Meridian St., the former home to Billy McHale’s Restaurant.

The restaurant’s construction has made steady progress, and now even has a Texas state flag and an American flag hanging above it as it is being completed.
