Two people were hospitalized following a hit-and-run collision along the Mount Baker Highway on Saturday afternoon.

The collision occurred around 3:52 p.m. when a vehicle described as a 2015-21 white Nissan Murano crossed the centerline while heading east between Kendall and Maple Falls, according to Trooper Kelsey Harding with the Washington State Patrol.

The Nissan struck an oncoming motorcycle, injuring the rider and passenger.

The victims, Baldev S. Mann, 52, and Hardip Kaur, 51, are from Surrey, B.C., and were riding an orange 2024 Harley Davidson. Both were wearing helmets at the time of the crash. Mann was treated and released from the hospital. The current condition of Kaur is unknown, according to Anne Williams, communications specialist with St. Joseph Medical Center.

The driver of the Nissan drove off without providing any information. Witnesses to the collision are encouraged to email WSP Det. Dan Comnick at daniel.comnick@wsp.wa.gov .
