    Bellingham welcomed several new restaurants so far in 2024. Here’s your next dinner spot

    Looking for a new restaurant to try out? Whatcom County had 10 new restaurants open throughout 2024, including nine new eateries in Bellingham. Here’s the new restaurants for you to try:

    Tokyo Monster Sushi in Blaine

    Tokyo Monster Sushi , a Japanese and Asian cuisine restaurant, opened in February.

    The restaurant serves lunch and dinner menus including sushi, orange chicken, miso soup, ramen, yakisoba and bento boxes, and a breakfast menu that includes pancakes, omelettes and more.

    Tokyo Monster Sushi is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Monday at 125 Birch Bay Square St. Suite 202 in Blaine.

    Bella Ciao in Bellingham

    Bella Ciao , a pizza tavern, opened in March.

    The pizza restaurant and bar serves Midwest and Eastern-style pizzas, and fits the pies to a Midwest pizzeria ambiance equipped with cartoons, sports and movies playing around the tavern.

    The restaurant serves tavern-style pizza, a thin-crust, square-cut style of pizza also known as “Chicago thin-crust,” beer, snacks and cocktails.

    Bella Ciao is open from 3 p.m. to midnight daily at 1427 Railroad Ave. in Bellingham.

    Nacho Problems in Bellingham

    Nacho Problems , a 21+ nacho bar, opened in March.

    The nacho bar exclusively serves nachos with a wide variety of toppings and combinations available, as well as cocktails, beer and cider.

    Nacho Problems is open from 5 p.m. to midnight Sunday through Wednesday and 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday at 1425 Railroad Ave. in Bellingham.

    Lakeline in Bellingham

    Lakeline , a coffee shop, cocktail bar and restaurant, opened in March.

    Lakeline serves breakfast, lunch and dinner meals, including avocado or smoked salmon toast, breakfast sandwiches, cheese and meat plates, salads, tuna melts, sandwiches and ice cream.

    For drinks, Lakeline crafts espresso drinks, tea, Italian sodas, beer, wine, cider and craft cocktails.

    Lakeline is open from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at 601 Northshore Dr. in Bellingham.

    Bry’s Filipino Cuisine in Bellingham

    Bry’s Filipino Cuisine , a Filipino restaurant that started as a food truck, opened a brick-and-mortar location in March.

    The restaurant’s menu includes specialty cocktails, fried chicken curry bites, lumpia, smoked coconut chicken and Filipino-style grilled pork.

    Bry’s Filipino Cuisine is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to midnight Friday at Saturday at 1151 N State St. in Bellingham.

    Doug’s Burgers in Bellingham

    Doug’s Burgers, a late-night burger food truck, opened a brick-and-mortar restaurant in June.

    The restaurant and bar serves various burgers, fries and hoagie sandwiches.

    Doug’s Burgers is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily at 2527 Meridian St. in Bellingham.

    Uisce Irish Pub in Bellingham

    Uisce Irish Pub reopened in June after a yearslong closure. The Irish pub serves classic cocktails, Guinness and handmade pizzas.

    Mercato delle Bonta , a restaurant and to-go market with Italian, New York and Greek tastes, opened in June.

    The restaurant serves sandwiches, homemade focaccia bread, desserts, espresso drinks, scones, meatballs and more.

    Mercato delle Bonta is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday inside the Granary Building at 1211 Granary Ave. in Bellingham.

    Yacht Dogs in Bellingham

    Yacht Dogs , a Chicago-style hot dog stand opened in July.

    The hot dog stand is outside of Bison Bookbinding & Letterpress and is owned by Carly James, who co-owns the stationary store with her husband, Kevin Nelson.

    The cart is open from noon to 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday at 1207 Granary Avenue, Suite 160 in Bellingham.

    Starla’s Tavern in Bellingham

    Starla’s Tavern , a natural wine bar, opened in the historic Herald Building in August.

    The bar serves wine, beer, ciders and light snacks, and also has a bottle shop for those wishing to purchase a bottle of wine to take home.

    Starla’s Tavern is open from 4 to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 4 to 11 p.m. Friday at 1149 N State St. in Bellingham.

    Chipotle in Bellingham

    Chipotle , the chain Mexican restaurant, opened a second Bellingham location in August.

    The new location has the chain’s “build you own” structure, as well as a drive-through for pick up orders. Bellingham’s other Chipotle location is inside the Bellis Fair mall.

    Chipotle’s new location is open from 10:45 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily at 104 Samish Way in Bellingham.
