Chick-fil-A pursuing first location in Bellingham, will bring 80-120 new jobs

BELLINGHAM, Washington. — On Tuesday, Bellingham Metro News received an update regarding the Bellingham Chick-fil-A project.

According to a email from the Chick-fil-A Pressroom to BMN "While we are still early in the process, Chick-fil-A is happy to share that we are actively pursuing our first location in Whatcom County, Chick-fil-A Cordata Parkway & Bakerview Road, at 4030 Cordata Parkway. We look forward to working through the approval process with the City of Bellingham and are excited by the prospect of joining this community. Each locally owned and operated restaurant creates 80 – 120 jobs in the area. We hope to have the opportunity to serve new guests delicious food in an environment of genuine hospitality."

Chick-fil-A currently does not have an estimated opening date at this time.

A Pre-Application was filed months back by Applicant STEVE SCHWARTZ, CHICK-FIL-A, INC to construct a new 5,028 square-foot Chick-fil-A restaurant at 4030 CORDATA PARKWAY in Bellingham.

The location has been vacant for many years and is owned by Bellis Fair Mall Territories, the 4030 Cordata is an empty lot that is adjacent to a road between Bellis Fair Mall and Bakerview.

The proposal includes a restaurant with a two-lane drive thru, 74 interior seats and 48 exterior seats.
