BELLINGHAM, WA – The Telegraph Road Burger King in Bellingham is currently undergoing a significant remodel, which includes a change back to their retro logo. In 2021, Burger King decided to remaster their pre-1999 logo and has been gradually rebranding their stores ever since. The drive-thru remains open during construction.

The approved plans for the new signage include five illuminated wall signs and one illuminated drive-thru canopy. The remodel involves both interior and exterior updates, with a project valuation of $789,965. The scope of work includes removing the existing mansard roof and parapet, replacing them with a new parapet in line with the existing exterior wall. The exterior façade will be completely replaced, and new awnings will be added. Additionally, modifications will be made to the building entry on the south side, and updates will be made to the existing bathrooms to comply with current ADA standards.

The permit for the interior and exterior remodel was applied for on February 25, 2022, approved on April 8, 2022, and issued on March 15, 2023. The permit for the signs and awnings was applied for on June 14, 2024, approved on July 19, 2024, and issued the same day. The expiration dates for the permits are March 14, 2025, and July 19, 2026, respectively.

For those concerned about the impact of construction, rest assured that the drive-thru remains open, ensuring that customers can still enjoy their favorite Burger King meals during this exciting transition.
