New Veterinary Clinic Planned for this former restaurant in Bellingham

BELLINGHAM, WASHINGTON – Changes are underway at 921 Lakeway, where Sadighi's restaurant once was is set to be transformed into the Lakeway Veterinarian Clinic. The project is moving forward with the filing of a building permit, BLD2024-0845, which was filed on August 9, 2024, and is currently in review.

The permit covers a tenant improvement project aimed at converting the existing restaurant into a veterinary clinic. This includes extensive renovations to the interior to accommodate the needs of a veterinary practice. The permit has an associated fee of $1,353.20 and is valid until August 9, 2025.

In addition to the building permit, a plumbing permit (PLM2024-0323) has also been filed for the project. This plumbing permit, categorized under nonresidential new fixtures, reflects the necessary updates to the building’s plumbing systems to support the new clinic. The plumbing permit was also submitted on August 9, 2024, and is currently under review. It shares the same expiration date of August 9, 2025.
