GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON – Concertgoers attending the Tyler Childers concert at the Gorge Amphitheater are being evacuated due to severe weather and a nearby wildland fire, according to the Grant County Sheriff's Office. The evacuation was ordered by Incident Command after a combination of rain, strong winds, and a wildfire was reported behind the venue, close to the Columbia River.

Although there is a low risk of the fire reaching the venue, officials have deemed it necessary to take precautionary measures to ensure the safety of all attendees. The heavy rain approaching the Gorge is expected to aid in extinguishing the fire, providing some relief to the situation. Fire units are actively working to access and contain the blaze.

Concert attendees have been instructed to return to their vehicles for shelter as the evacuation proceeds. The Sheriff's Office is closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with fire and emergency management teams to manage the ongoing threat.

Updates will be provided as more information becomes available. The safety of all attendees and staff remains the top priority for the authorities managing the incident.
