BELLINGHAM, WASHINGTON - After nearly two decades of serving the Bellingham community, Michael and Tina Tan, beloved owners of a well-known local deli located near Walmart, have announced their retirement.

In a heartfelt message, the couple expressed their gratitude for the support they’ve received during Michael’s recent health challenges. “Michael is doing well as he continues to undergo more tests,” they shared, thanking the community for the outpouring of love.

The Tan family has run the Gandolfo’s New York deli for 17 years, with both of their sons, Dr. Mitch and Chase, working there since its opening.

The Tans have decided that now is the time to step back, concluding an era of family-driven service and connection with their loyal customers.“We will miss you all dearly,” they said, acknowledging the strong relationships they’ve built over the years.

The Tan family extends their thanks to the community for their support and patronage throughout the years. They have decided to list the business - Gandolfo's New York Deli in Bellingham, WA for sale: You can contact Dan at (678) 644-1117

Before I moved to Spokane, I went there at least once a week of not more. Tina was always cheerful and helpful. When my mother was going through her Cancer treatment, she loved Tina’s homemade egg salad. When I told Tina about that, she never forgot. When I would come in, she’d ask about Mom, and say a little prayer for her. I will miss their yummy sandwiches, and their wonderful fellowship.
