This Sunday’s Edmonds Concert in the Park was a City Park performance by the Git Hoan Dancers (People of the Salmon). Based in Lynnwood, Git Hoan showcases the magnificence of Tsimshian art, from masks and costumes to song, dance and storytelling. Drive-by Shooting in South Everett Saturday
Snohomish County Sheriff deputies are investigating a drive by shooting in the 600 block of 124 St SW in Everett, just three blocks from Mariner High School. A 17 year-old male was been transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Colby Campus with gun shot wounds. The victim underwent emergency surgery, but is expected to survive his injuries.

Pioneer Fire expands to 29,994 acres, evacuation orders remain in effect
STEHEKIN — The Pioneer Fire burning in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest has grown to 29,994 acres, with containment remaining at 14%. Northwest Incident Management Team 3, led by Incident Commander Lonnie Click, assumed command of the fire operations at 6:00 am. State fire assistance has been mobilized to support the Pioneer Fire, with Washington State Patrol Chief John Batiste authorizing the mobilization of state firefighting resources under the Washington State Fire Services Resource Mobilization Plan.
