Glen Rock Schedules Public Forum on Basketball Court Use
GLEN ROCK, NJ - The borough announced a community forum scheduled for September 16 to discuss views on basketball court use and public safety at Wilde Memorial Park after the May 21 shooting. Residents voiced their concerns at this week's council work session during a discussion about the borough's survey regarding court usage and safety. See results here. SAGE Organization to Host Equipment Swap Event in Newton
NEWTON, NJ—The Student Athletes Giving Extra group, otherwise known as SAGE, is hosting an equipment swap next week on Thursday, August 1. The event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at Newton’s Memory Park. The community is invited to bring itimes to swap and shop, choose only to drop off items, just shop or simply stop by to see what it is all about.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER According to the organization's announcement, the SAGE swap is for anything that relates to youth sports; any sport from Kindergarten through - grade 12, that is still in GOOD USABLE CONDITION except for any helmets that require re-certification each year, such as football helmets. Any questions about the items people are seeking to donate, can be directed to SAGE at sagevolunteer1@gmail.com or bring the item to Memory Park and a SAGE representative will make the determination.
