A teenager who had been missing for four days was miraculously found by a good Samaritan after leaving her family a haunting farewell note. Seventeen year old Geneva Hodge from Bellville, Texas , left a spine-chilling message on her pillow for her mother that read "this is goodbye for a long time," before she disappeared last Wednesday.

The plot thickened when Geneva's mother, Frances Schrader, got an unexpected call from a man claiming he'd found her daughter. The man had Frances's contact details from a flyer about Geneva's disappearance and informed her of Geneva's location. Frances then traveled 63 miles to Brookshire to reunite with her daughter.

Thankfully, Geneva was confirmed to be safe, and well as Frances disclosed that they had held a prayer service in her honor. "She's doing good. She slept for a while today. We just did a prayer at our home about 50 people showed up with roses," Frances shared with the Daily Mail.

She added: "I'm so relieved I haven't smiled since Wednesday. Everyone said I'm glowing today. We are so thankful for everyone who shared our story and the prayers," reports the Mirror US . Frances is still trying to understand what exactly happened during the days Geneva was unaccounted for. She spoke of Geneva as a "good kid" who had never previously run away, highlighting the depth of her worry over her daughter's sudden disappearance.

The owner of D'Lux Donuts confirmed that Geneva was seen arriving in a white Honda Civic with a man at the junction of Bains and S Front streets. The man, according to the witness, was between 30 and 40 years old, about 5ft 10 to 6ft tall, slim, "dirty-looking," and wore glasses.

Frances reported that the man was observed "rubbing her back and touching her bottom, and she appeared uncomfortable." She relayed the witness's account, saying: "She just stood there, motionless, as if something was seriously wrong."

The man also had a work name badge, but it was flipped over, making the name illegible. While police are still confirming whether the girl was Geneva, the witness identified the missing teenager from a photograph, Frances added.

Four or five days before she vanished, Geneva had shown a picture of a man to a co-worker at her local Brookshire Brothers, where she had been employed for two years. "She said he 'looked like he was on drugs' and told my daughter, 'that man doesn't look right,'" Frances recalled.

Geneva stated that the man was 21 and promised to take care of her. The colleague provided a detailed description of the man in the photo, which matched the one given by the donut shop owner. The man was depicted lying in bed, wearing a wife-beater and oval square prescription glasses with a metal frame.

The man had short curly hair, either brunette or dirty blonde, a mustache, patchy beard, and a scruffy face, with a skinny nose and square chin. His name began with an E, but his workmate couldn't recall the full name.

Frances says the older man would've coached her on what to write in the note, plus how to reset her cell phone and hide it so there'd be no trace of their chats. "My daughter couldn't even set up a phone, somebody told her how to do this," Frances remarked.

She's worried that the man might get her daughter hooked on drugs and said her friends have been keeping an eye on a lorry park in Brookshire, notorious for human trafficking, every night since Geneva went missing.

Frances stumbled upon a baffling note hours after her daughter vanished, which read: "Dear mom, I love you a lot and I know me leaving is going to kill you. I'm alright! It was nobody's decision but my own.

"I'm going to do online schooling and finish everything. I'm with some people that I trust very much. I'm always gonna be your little girl. I've grown up and became this amazing young lady. Just remember mom, I love you so much! ! This is goodbye for a long time! I'm sorry. Bye mom, I love you! Love, Geneva."

Frances initially believed that human traffickers had abducted her daughter, Geneva. "I am completely heartbroken. The day she went missing I couldn't breathe. It felt like my heart was ripped out of my chest," she confessed.

She opened up further to reveal how during the time of her daughter's disappearance, due to complete wretchedness and anxiety, she could barely eat or sleep, which led to an alarming weight loss of 10lbs in just a few days, despite being a fellow sufferer of Diabetes. Frances reached out to social media, specifically Facebook, making a heartfelt plea regarding her missing child, which was thankfully later updated.

The joyful news eventually came from Bellville Police Department itself confirming that Geneva had made her homecoming and was "reunited with family".
