Bobby MaGee Lopez originally didn't believe he won the inaugural Olde Town Shindig mural contest last year. "I've talked to some artists who've won similar contests and everybody is like, 'Seriously?' The level of artistry on display is incredible," MaGee Lopez said. After winning last year's contest, Olde Town Arvada commissioned him to paint a food system-inspired mural with plenty of leafy greens, pollinators and even a 7 foot tall cow on the north side of the Nutrition Therapy Institute. This year's competition will be held on Sept. 6th and 7th.
