A last minute decision to go to the SPAM museum has led to a video with more than 5.5 million views and a new burger for Massachusetts residents. Joel Libed, of Worcester, originally only got a T-shirt and mug from a quick visit to the museum before a performance he was in in Austin, Minn. because he was worried about how he’d get the cans home. The deadline for applying for appointment to fill a six-plus-month seat on the Bedford Planning Board is 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9. The vacancy results from the resignation of Jacinda Barbehenn, who is moving out of town. Under the town bylaws, the remaining members of the board, in a joint meeting with the Select Board, interview applicants and name a replacement to serve until the next town election, March 8, 2025. The remaining year will be on the local ballot.
