    Is there an entry fee?

There is no fee to enter the park now, but the county intends to install a guard shack and hire an employee to collect a $7 parking fee. The county also charges a fee to rent a picnic shelter.

    What is at the park?

Boat ramps, two large fishing piers, a swim beach, picnic pads, two large picnic shelters and public parking.

Did the county invest any money in the park?

The park is owned by Duke Energy, but the county is managing it. The county agreed to share costs with Duke to construct a canoe launch. Additionally, the county has so far spent $23,076.64 on the design of the guardhouse at the entrance of the park.

Are there any plans to expand the park in the coming years?

Gaston County could add tent and RV camping, kayak and canoe launch areas, additional walking trails and other features.

    Where is it located?

The park is located at 175 Boat Launch Road in the Southpoint area of Belmont.
