Reckless driver crashes into Mississippi River
On July 16, 2024, at approximately 7:30 pm, a Grant County Deputy was on patrol on Eagle Point Rd when he was flagged down by a male on the side of the road. The male informed the deputy that he was near his vehicle with his dog when he observed a vehicle traveling west into O’Leary’s Lake at a very high rate of speed. The male was afraid the vehicle was going to crash into him or his dog. The driver then lost control, rolled the vehicle, and it entered the river.

Testimony begins in the trial of a Dubuque man charged with killing his mother
DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) - The first day of testimony is complete in the trial against a Dubuque man accused of killing his mother. 28-year-old Tyler Dazey is facing first-degree murder and animal abuse charges after his mother, Jennifer Dazey, and her dog were found dead in January. He told officers at the time he thought his mom was practicing witchcraft.
