Hononegah swimmers win Battle on the Rock at Beloit Memorial
BELOIT — For head coach Daryl McCabe and his Hononegah boys swimming team, Saturday’s “Battle on the Rock” was just the challenge they were looking for heading into the latter stages of the season. “A great facility, some difficult competition and it’s right down the street basically,” McCabe said. “It’s the perfect meet for us at this time of the season. We have the conference meet coming up and sectionals after that. We get to see a couple of solid teams here we don’t normally...

Head coach Todd Marks called a timeout and his Purple Knights regrouped and got back to doing what they do...

Sisters Emma and Ava Kligora catalysts for Rock County Fury
All it takes is a look between them — and sometimes less than that — for two of the top-scoring forwards in Wisconsin girls hockey to leave opponents wondering what went wrong. They didn’t develop this level of chemistry overnight. It took years of playing together, from their mite days in Janesville Youth Hockey all the way through to their two varsity seasons together with the Rock County Fury. Living...
COLUMN: Disgruntled Bears fan revels in Packers falling short
The permasmile has yet to leave my face since Saturday night. Was I nervous? Maybe. Was I considering deleting my entire online presence, quitting my job, and moving to a remote part of Wyoming? Perhaps. But did I need to? Absolutely not. And before all you Packer fans start with the “at least we made the playoffs” garbage, let’s remember what business we are in here–the championship business. We win titles or we don’t. Maybe some of us never do. But if you lose in...
