We won’t be as deep as last year’s team was, but we should have...
Hononegah boys volleyball sweeps Belvidere in NIC-10 action
ROCKTON—Hononegah junior Will Dennison has heard the scuttlebutt surrounding the Hononegah boys volleyball team and their “rebuilding year.” Sure, the Indians did graduate a large senior class and those players did stuff the stat sheets in addition to winning three-straight NIC-10 titles and a trio of regional championships. But Dennison and his teammates are determined to meet the high standard those before them have set, and a 25-10, 25-18 sweep...

Ex-Packer Bryan Bulaga to visit Beloit with Tailgate Tour
Bryan Bulaga grew up in Crystal Lake, Ill., and became a highly-regarded offensive lineman recruit while playing for powerful Woodstock Marian High School. Unfortunately, the Broncos’ hitters were wide awake as well as the Indians fell 11-9 in non-conference action. Hononegah's Jordan Johnston heads All-Area girls basketball team
ROCKTON — It was a year of stingy defense, aggressive backcourt possessions and a hard-nosed, warlike mentality for several of the Stateline’s best prep girls basketball teams. One trait almost all of the area’s players embodied was that hardworking, blue-collar mindset the Midwest is so known for. And it showed with success being built off of low-scoring, grind-it-out games that were won with the help of dominating the boards and forcing turnovers rather than flashy shooting. ...
