Beloit College to host summer volleyball camp in July
Beloit College head women’s volleyball coach Lehua Enomoto will host a summer volleyball camp at Beloit College on July 15-18. Enomoto has over 30 years of volleyball coaching experience and 25 years of K-12 teaching experience in Hawaii. The camp will be Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for girls ages 12-18 and boys ages 12-14. On Friday, July 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. she will hold a position specialty camp for liberos, setters, hitters and middles. Brodhead junior pitcher Ava Risum has been named a MaxPreps/National Fastpitch Coaches Association Player of the Week for games played April 22-28. ELKHORN, Wis. — The Southern Lakes Conference golf season wrapped up with the conference tournament hosted by the Elkhorn Elks on Wednesday at Evergreen Country Club, which was yet another course that Beloit Memorial golfers Max and Marcus Allen had yet to play on. Learning the course on the go, senior Max Allen shot an 87 to place 21st while his brother Marcus shot an 88 to place 23rd. Elkhorn’s Evan Ahler did a strong job defending his home course as he shot a 70 to win the meet’s medalist honors while Waterford’s Robbie Meyers was one-shot behind in second.
