Valley champions honored with $10K donation

BELOIT, Ohio (WKBN) – West Branch’s thrilling, exciting, come-from-behind state baseball championship, continues to be celebrated.

The Warriors were honored with a “Champions Rally” at the Eastwood Mall.

West Branch lifted the state championship trophy over a month ago. It was the Warriors’ first state championship.

The recognition at the mall came with a $10,000 check from the Cafaro Foundation to West Branch High School.

“Very special moment for the kids. It’s something I’ll never forget. Awesome for our community. The biggest thing I’m just proud for these kids. “They’ve dreamt about this, they’ve worked for it, so they deserve it,” Mulinix said.

West Branch won a school record 28 games during its state championship-winning season.
