    John Baillie named Beloit College's new women's soccer coach

    BELOIT — John Baillie has been named the 14th head coach in Beloit College women’s soccer history, joining the Buccaneers after a six-year stint at Mount Mary University in Milwaukee.

    Baillie served as the head women’s soccer coach for the Blue Angels since 2018, had a brief stint as head basketball coach from October 2019-March of 2020. He also had served as the Assistant Athletic Director from January 2020 to the time of his resignation.

    Baillie is a 2008 graduate of Knox College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art Photography with a minor in Psychology. While at Knox, Baillie held many coaching positions in multiple sports, including head men’s and women’s tennis coach (Nov. 2009-June 2012), men’s soccer goalkeeper coach from January 2012 to June 2012, assistant women’s soccer coach from August 2008 through June 2012 and finally as an assistant men’s basketball coach from June 2008 to June 2010.

    Baillie has a Masters of Sport and Athletic Administration from Gonzaga University and has also coached at the Waunakee Soccer Club, the Sun Prairie Soccer Club and Madison East High School.

    “I am truly grateful for the privilege of becoming the next head women’s soccer coach at Beloit College” said Baillie. “As I stepped onto campus, I immediately felt welcomed by this fantastic community; I saw the unwavering commitment to academic excellence and felt the drive for success from the team and department. I look forward to continuing the program’s success in the field and classroom.”
