    Beloit Memorial's Jocelyn Tibbetts on All-SLC Second Team

    BELOIT — Beloit Memorial junior guard Jocelyn Tibbetts has been named to the 2024 All-Southern Lakes Conference girls basketball Second Team.

    Tibbetts was perhaps the most consistent Purple Knight, averaging 12 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Beloit finished 5-7 in its first season in the SLC and went 8-13 overall.

    Tibbetts shot 36.2 percent from the field and 72.6 percent from the free-throw line, converting 37 3-pointers. She averaged 2.5 assists and 3.1 steals.

    The Purple Knights also landed a pair of players on Honorable Mention: freshman Asharia Koch and junior SaDera Richardson.

    Koch was a stellar defensive player with 7.0 rebounds and 4.3 steals (86 total) per game. She averaged 7.6 points, shooting 45.6 percent from the field.

    Richardson averaged 8.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.

    Elkhorn sophomore Kyrin Lile was named SLC Player of the Year. She is joined on the First Team by two members of SLC champion Union Grove — juniors Ashley Lamers and Samantha Hafferkamp — as well as Elkhorn sophomore teammate Kylie Schultz and Badger junior Molly Deering.
