Beloit Sky Carp to host Poopsie's Arctic Plunge

BELOIT—The Beloit Sky Carp will be taking to the field for the season opener at ABC Supply Stadium in just a little over a week, and fans will have the opportunity to have some chilly fun before the first pitch.

The Sky Carp announced on Tuesday that they will be hosting the first ever “Poopsie’s Arctic Plunge.” Fans will have the opportunity to purchase a package that includes a ticket to Friday, April 5th’s game against the Cedar Rapids Kernels, a Sky Carp winter beanie and blanket and a chance to take a dive into the Rock River behind the ballpark before the game.

Those interested in plunging will meet in the parking lot behind center field at 4:15. The Sky Carp will provide both extra towels and an indoor space within the stadium to dry off and change.

A video recap of the chilly event will be played on the jumbotron during the game.

Fans will then hope to see their Sky Carp defeat the Kernels when the game begins at 6:35 p.m. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. Beloit continues its home-opening series with matchups against Cedar Rapids on Saturday and Sunday at 1:05 p.m.

The Sky Carp will once again be using digital tickets this season and ABC Supply Stadium will be completely cashless again.
