EDGERTON, Wis. — The Beloit Turner softball team had quite the Tuesday as it broke a 6-all tie to beat Edgerton 9-6 in the continuation of a postponed game before laying a whooping on the Crimson Tide with a 17-4 victory.

The Trojans had poured on four runs in the first inning back on April 18 as Sammi Schleis and Maddy Hoenig each hit an RBI double while Emma Bue added a one-run single.

The Crimson Tide scored four in the second to tie it but a solo homer by Kamdyn Davis and another run-scoring double by Hoenig in the bottom half put Turner back in front.

Edgerton scored another two runs in the fourth before the game was stopped due to rain. Nearly a month later, Schleis put the Trojans in front for good in the fifth with her RBI single. Jayden Pozzani scored on a wild pitch and Lauryn Wells added a sacrifice fly to help secure the win.
