    PREP TRACK: Beloit Memorial's Jaedyn Coleman, Jaslyn Gama advance in two events

    STOUGHTON, Wis. — Junior Jaedyn Coleman and senior Jaslyn Gama qualified for sectional competition in a pair of events to headline Beloit Memorial’s efforts in the WIAA Division 1 Stoughton Regional on Monday.

    Coleman won the shot put with a distance of 51-feet, 1 inch. He also advanced in the discus with a fourth place and a throw of 142.6.

    Gama finished in third place in the 400 meters with a personal-best time of 1:01.10. She took second in the 300 hurdles to also advance to sectionals in that event. Her time of 49.75 trailed only winner Ashlie Riley of Fort Atkinson (49.10).

    The girls’ 4x100-meter relay qualified for sectionals by finishing fourth by .01 over Madison La Follette. The Beloit team of Naima Brooks, Kori Burnett, Essence Coleman and Antonia Mance finished in 53.95 seconds. The Lancers finished in 53.96.

    Beloit Memorial’s teams were both eighth.

    Janesville Parker won the boys title with 120 points, followed by Oregon (95.50), Janesville Craig (94.50), Milton (85), Madison La Follette (82), Stoughton (80), Fort Atkinson (76) and Beloit (23).

    Oregon won the girls crown with 158.50, followed by Fort Atkinson (105), Parker (104), Milton (74), Craig (72), La Follette (71), Stoughton (67) and Beloit (27.50).

    WIAA DIVISION 2 DELAVAN-DARIEN REGIONAL: Clinton senior Owen Douglas captured a pair of individual first places in the regional in Delavan on Monday.

    Douglas won the shot put with a toss of 52-feet, 1 inch and also won the discus with a throw of 129-04.

    The Cougars girls picked up a first place from Paige Damman in the 1600 meters (5:46.54) and the senior anchored the winning 4x800 relay team that included Ella Logterman, Parker Kutz and Ava Mueller (10:21.06). Damman was also second in the 3200 in 12:57.37.

    The Cougars collected another runnerup spot from Kiki Pfeifer in the 100 hurdles (17.78), fifths from Kailee Yoss in the high jump (4-08), Carly Beals in the discus (94-00) and Kasia London in the 3200 (13:11.04) and a sixth from Malaika Drayton in the 200 (29.04).

    Clinton’s boys got a second from the 4x100 relay team of Douglas, D’Angelo Vernon, Isaac Krummel and Reegan McCoy (44.35). They picked up a fourth from Blain Brown in the 300 hurdles (45.28) and the 4x400 relay of Nathaniel Ligman, DJ Wojcik, Matthias Shoemaker and Vernon, fifths from Brown in the 110 highs (17.36), Ligman in the 400 (53.08) and Chris Gross in the triple jump (38-05.00) and sixths from the 4x200 relay team (Brown, Kale Conant, Wojcik, Vernon) and Jared Howard in the shot put (39-09).

    Big Foot’s boys were again led by pole vaulter Kaden Rambatt, who took first with a vault of 12-06. The Chiefs got a second from Clayton Filer in the high jump (6-foot) and thirds from Tristen Hilke in the pole vault (10-00) and Sawyer Dase in the triple jump (40-10).

    The Big Foot girls picked up seconds from Elliana Pape in the 100 meters (13.24) and Maliyja Spearman (52.76) and thirds from its 4x100 relay team of Pape, Ali Stankevitz, Lydia Farence and Ava Schoonover (52.16) as well as Lizzie Lueck in the shot put (33-04) and Farence in the 200 meters (27.93).

    WIAA DIVISION 3 DEERFIELD REGIONAL: Junior Mike Williams used his strong arm to fuel a strong day for Parkview as he won both the shot put and the discus.

    Williams’ throw of 45-feet, 6-inches was just enough to beat Palmyra-Eagle senior Zander Garlock’s throw of 44-feet, 3.5-inches. He then dominated the discus with his throw of 138-feet, 2-inches, well ahead of second-place Peyton Gundelach of Marshall (129-00).

    Karson Redman won the long jump with a distance of 20-feet, 5.5-inches and placed second in the 400 (53.68). Teammate Greyson Cramer was second in the 200 (24.28).

    Nathan Fiebig was third in the shot put (41-5) while Cal Fox snuck into sectionals by placing fourth in the pole vault (11-00).

    On the girls’ side, Sahara Boers-Augustine shined on the track as she won the 400 (1:02.85) and was third in the 200 (27.51).

    Junior Willow Crecelius won the 100-meter hurdles (16.12) and ran the opening leg of the second-place 4x100 relay (54.10), which also included Giulianna Elrod, Ann Keintz and Jazmyn Wiedmer.

    Freshman Loralei Arnold won the pole vault (10-00) and placed third in the triple jump (33-5.25) while Keintz finished fourth with a PR in the discus (95-09).
