    Beloit College's Siddalee Meyers earns First Team All-MWC

    BELOIT — Junior outfielder Siddalee Meyers of Beloit College earned First Team All-Midwest Conference honors for softball and sophomore teammate Kaylee Witte was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association D-III Region XI Third Team.

    Meyers, a Parkview High School graduate, earned First Team honors for the first time and becomes the first Buccaneer to land on the First Team since 2021.

    Meyers started in all 38 games for Beloit and finished the season on a 15-game hitting streak. She led the Bucs with a .407 average and finished with 50 hits. She was named the team’s Offensive Player of the Year, holding down the second spot in the lineup most of the season.

    Meyers only had three strikeouts in 126 at-bats. Defensively, she had five assists from center field and committed only two errors.

    The Bucs also received the MWC’s Sportsmanship Award.

    Witte, a North Boone graduate, was named to the Region XI Third team as the Utility/Pitcher selection. She led the Bucs on the mound, appearing in 32 games, tying a Beloit College single season record. She clocked 129.2 innings pitched, 76.1 more innings than the next pitcher. She carried a 4.80 ERA with seven complete games and one shutout.

    At the plate for Beloit, she had the fourth highest batting average this season with a .323 average. Witte was third on the team with 30 hits, fifth with 17 RBI and tied for fourth with one home run.
