Beloit Bombers' Wood Bat Classic brings crowds to Stateline YMCA Youth Sports Complex

BELOIT — The Beloit Youth Baseball Association had to contend with a downpour Saturday night, but had the fields at the Stateline Family YMCA Youth Sports Complex up and running in plenty of time to finish its annual Wood Bat Classic.

The Beloit Bombers Blue came away champions in the 11U Tournament with a 10-1 victory over Athletics HQ.

In the 10U Tournament, Lake Geneva edged Beloit 8-6 for the title and in the 12U Tournament, Monroe pulled out a 7-6 victory over the Bombers Blue team in nine innings after Beloit had rallied for three runs to tie the game 6-6 in the sixth inning.

Izaiah Hall blasted a solo home run for the Bombers and was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

K Cancer won the 13U Tournament by beating Monroe 13-5.

The 14U Tournament completed after the newspaper’s deadline and results will be published in the next edition.
