City of Beloit to operate seven polling locations in August primary election

BELOIT, Wis. -- The City of Beloit will operate seven polling operations for the August primary election.
The election starts on Tuesday August 13 and the city said it no longer administers elections in elementary schools and introduced new polling sites in 2024.
Residents can visit the polling website to find their polling location .
The official polling locations are:
Ward 1-4 24-25, 31- Sun Valley Presbyterian Church, 1650 Sun Valley Dr.
Ward: 5-8,26 Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 749 Bluff St
Ward: 9-11 Krueger-Haskell Golf Course, 1611 Hackett St.
Ward: 12 First Congregational Church 801 Bushnell St.
Ward 13-17 Beloit Public Library 605 Eclipse Blvd
Ward: 18-20, 27 River of Life United Methodist Church, 2345 Prairie Ave.
Ward: 21-23, 28-30 Central Christian Church, 2460 Milwaukee Rd
The seven polling locations in Beloit are open from 7 am to 8pm. All polling places are accessible to elderly and disabled voters.
Important deadlines and absentee voting information
July 16, 2024 was the last day for voters to establish residency in Beloit. Voters who establish residency after this date must vote in the municipality they resided in previously.
Deadline to file voter registration paperwork by mail or online: Wednesday July 24
Deadline to file voter registration paperwork at City Hall: 5pm Friday August 9; you can still register at your polling location on Election Day
Deadline to request an absentee ballot to be sent through the mail: 5 pm Thursday August 8 (5 pm Friday August 9, if voter is indefinitely confided or military and not away from home.
Do not place ballots in City Hall drop boxes ; either return via the U.S. Postal Service or return directly to the 2nd floor clerk-treasurer's office. Please allow enough time for absentee ballots to return via mail as they must by in the clerk-treasurer's office by 8 pm Election Day.
Only the voter can return the ballot to the clerk's office or place in the mail unless a voter with disabilities needs help returning their ballots.
Make sure all fields are properly filled out, including the witness signature and address.
In-person absentee voting days and hours: 8:30 a.m.-4 pm weekdays July 30-August 9, 2024 (open to 5pm Friday, August 9). In-person absentee voting will take place on the 2nd floor at City Hall.
Deadline for absentee ballots to be in the clerk's office: 8 pm Tuesday, August 13.
